Uses: Suitable for parks, reserves, wider roadside plantings. As an informal hedge, screen or barrier in low traffic areas due to its prickly foliage.
Bird attracting, food and habitat source.
Lizard refuge.
Requires well-drained soils, responds to heavy pruning.
Note: Although this species is not classified under the Sewerage Act, it is recommended that it not be planted closer than 3.5 metres to any sewer main or connection.
