Notes

Uses: Hardy ornamental, suitable for areas of low maintenance. Can be used as a background shrub in mixed plantings, or on wide roadside verges, road batters and wide median strips as a barrier, wind-break and soil control.
Requires good drainage and responds to heavy pruning to maintain shape.
Long flowering, attracts nectar eating birds and insects. Bird refuge.
Note: Although this species is not classified under the Sewerage Act, it is recommended that it not be planted closer than two metres to any sewer main or connection.
