Uses: Traditional garden plant with deep green foliage and spikes of Purple and White flowers. Excellent as a ground cover or a filler in shady locations.
Easily propagates from seed or pieces of root. Can easily become a pest if not checked.
Does need moist soil so keep well mulched.
Is very attractive to snails and slugs.
