Uses: Hardy ornamental, suitable for areas of low maintenance. Can be used as a background shrub in mixed plantings, or as a formal hedge in borders and verges. Tolerant of moderate coastal exposure.
Responds to heavy pruning to maintain shape. Requires good drainage.
Butterfly attracting.  Popular herb for cooking. Also symbol of rememberance.
