Uses: Highly attractive perennial grass for streetscapes, mixed native landscapes, parks and reserves. Highly effective mass planted in borders and verges. Can be cut back to regenerate.
Aromatic foliage and shaggy looking seed-heads with long fluffy hairs.
Requires well-drained soils.
Habitat and food source for small native birds and butterflies.
Cultural use: A traditional medicine to treat colds and ear-aches.
