Popular shrub or small tree from China and Japan. Excellent plants for formal gardens. The deep green glossy foliage and wide variety of flower types and colours wakes this a valuable plant in many gardens.  Can be trained as an espalier or clipped as a hedge. Tea is a variety of Camellia.
