Wollemia nobilis
Wollemi Pine
Notes

Uses: Considered a 'dinosaur tree' ,the Wollemi Pine was only discovered in 1994 in the Wollemi National Park. It is now available through some nurseries. It is suitable for large parks and gardens as a specimen tree or can be maintained in a pot as an indoor plant. Only needs to be watered when soil is dry. Can tend to yellow when first planted in full sun but will recover once established. It does favour slightly acidic fertile soils. Can be pruned in winter to maintain shape.
