Uses: Tall erect pine from the Central coast of California. Grown primarily in Australia as a timber resource. A number of large commercial softwood plantations can be found in various part of the country. Rosin for violins is made from the resin from these trees.
Very tolerant of coastal conditions.
It grows vigorously in good well drained soils and with adequate water.
