Notes

Uses: Attractive medium tree from Japan. Looks similar to some elm trees and is replacement where Dutch Elm disease is a problem. Leaves turn yellow, orange red in autumn. Tolerates a wide variety if urban situations. Does best in moist well drained soils. There are a number of cultivars available including Z.serrata 'Green Vase', Z.serrata 'Golden flame' and Z.serrata 'Schmidtlow'-Wireless TM.
