Uses: Very popular and highly ornamental small tree for more open locations, wider verges, median strips, parks and reserves. Planted singly or in closely planted groups of three as a colourful contrast in mixed native landscapes.
Recommended for its flowers, foliage and form. Not suitable as a street tree due to its lignotuber.
Attracts native birds and insects.
Rare in its natural habitat.
Note: This species is classified schedule 1, Regulation 24.2 under the Sewerage Act and may be planted in any street or road in any drainage area provided they are not planted closer than two metres to any sewer main or connection.
