Small wiry shrub from the dryer parts of Australia. Small star like white flowers in late winter and spring followed by small black berries. Does best in dryer sunny conditions.  The plant's leaves contain nicotine, nor-nicotine, hyoscyamine and scopolamine. Indigenous people used the plant as a traditional chewing tobacco and for its narcotic effect.
