Notes

Uses: Evergreen magnolia has rich glossy leaves and large creamy white fragrant flowers in summer.
'Little Gem' is smaller and more compact than M.grandiflora. The flowers are a little smaller but more prolific. Needs to be protected from hot northerly winds. Useful as a screening plant
Roots need to be kept moist during dry periods and do not like being disturbed once planted out of the pot.
Frost tolerant once established.
