Tree has tough spiky triangular leaves.
Best in moist, loamy soils.
As their natural habitat are the South American rainforests, they do tend to struggle in locations that are dry, shady or polluted.
Best suited to large gardens or parks.
In optimum conditions are thought to live for 150 years.
