Uses: Hardy drought tolerant maple from North Africa and Southern Europe. Leaves look very similar to A.capestre.
The foliage turns a bright red and orange foliage in autumn. The flying fruits or Samaras also turn bright red
Tree can be pruned to maintain shape or trained as a hedge.
